The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within the city.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of heroes who will split off from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could assist the team enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to head to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on next week.
