Cars in Germany's Town Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Confirm

Police stated they were alerted by a man who noticed a car in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with swastikas, they reported in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a resident discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then discovered numerous other marked cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Police report early analysis indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; investigators are currently not informed of any injuries in association with the event," they added.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the case" and have asked to the public for information.

A high-ranking representative stated the attack left him without words and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing attack five years ago," he stated on online, referring to the murder of nine victims by a assailant focusing on residents of migrant background in February 2020.
